Ethiopian Airlines announced that it had ordered new long-haul aircraft. The new order announced by the national carrier; spent with Airbus during its participation in the Dubai Air Show; concerns the acquisition of 6 A350-900s.
Operating a giant fleet currently comprising 777 aircraft including 20 A350-900s and 4 A350-1000s, this new order announced by Ethiopian Airlines is part of the strengthening of its long-haul fleet and will further expand its offering to distant destinations in Europe and the Americas.

“The economic and operational performance of the A350-900 allows us to efficiently and rationally consider the development of our long-haul network from our main base in Addis Ababa Bole. The module, with a capacity of between 350 and 440 seats, will allow us to approach a policy of strengthening our frequencies while offering more comfort to our customers and our crews.”
This new fleet strengthening plan is fully in line with Ethiopian Airlines’ avant-garde strategy aimed at strengthening its position as a leading airline in Africa.
