Ethiopian Airlines announced his return to Copenhagen. After nineteen years of absence, the national carrier of Ethiopia announces its return to the route linking its hub in Addis Ababa to the capital of Denmark.
Flights to the Danish airport will be served with a stopover in Vienna, Austria.
The number of passengers between sub-Saharan Africa and Copenhagen reached two hundred and forty thousand in 2019 (before the outbreak and spread of the pandemic), a significant figure which encouraged Ethiopian Airlines to relaunch its service to Copenhagen with connection at Vienna.
Before the arrival of Ethiopian Airlines, passengers wishing to take this flight had to transit through Istanbul in Turkey with Turkish Airlines, or through Doha with Qatar Airways.
Regarding the Ethiopian Airlines program in Copenhagen, flights to the capital of Denmark will start on May 22, 2023. Five frequencies per week will be provided by the Ethiopian airline in 787-8 with 270 seats and 787-9 which can accommodate 315 passengers.

– Vienna to Copenhagen (CPH): 06:55 (arrival at 08:40)
– Copenhagen to Vienna: 7:45 p.m. (arrival at 9:25 p.m.)
– Vienna to Copenhagen: 2h25 (arrival at 06:20).
