This decision, communicated by the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority, has not been accompanied by a public explanation, raising questions and speculation.
Currently, Ethiopian Airlines operates up to three daily flights connecting Addis Ababa to Asmara, promoting not only commercial but also cultural exchanges between the two nations. These connections, carried out by modern aircraft such as the B737 and B787.
