Ethiopian Airlines launches flight to Yabelo

Yesterday, Ethiopian Airlines operated its first flight to Yabelo, a destination located in southern Ethiopia that is now connected three times a week from its Addis Ababa Bole hub.

With this launch, the national airline brings the number of destinations in its local network to 23.

“With all these measures taken on our part, we hope to attract as many customers as possible to our flight between Addis Ababa and Yabelo,” said Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew, accompanied by several senior officials at Yabelo Airport, including Temesgen Tiruneh, Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister, and Finance Minister Ahmed Shide.

We will maintain a strong domestic offering and continue to play a key role in the connectivity of the various regions of our country,” added the head of the national airline.

Ethiopian Airlines has signed agreements with several regions of the country such as Gore Metu, Mizan Aman, Debre Markos and Negele Borena … with a view to strengthening the attractiveness of the regions and promoting their opening up and tourism development.
