Ethiopian Airlines and the Marriott hotel group have decided to partner with the aim of offering an enhanced customer experience.
The key objective of this partnership is to integrate the two companies’ loyalty programs, Shebamiles and Marriott Bonvoy, and offer members more privileges.
Members of both loyalty programs can accumulate and use their points for booking flights with Ethiopian Airlines as well as rooms at Marriott hotels.
Converting Shebamiles points to Marriott Bonvoy points and inversement
Shebamiles loyalty program members can now use their Shebamiles points to book Marriott hotel rooms with a 2:1 conversion rate.
On the other hand, Marriott Bonvoy members can use their miles to book flights or other services with Ethiopian Airlines at a conversion rate of 3:1, and receive a bonus of 5,000 points for every 60,000 miles converted in a single transaction.
