Just days after winning the APEX award for Africa’s Best Airline, Ethiopian Airlines has received another accolade.
The airline has been awarded the prize for Africa’s Fastest Growing Airline.
This award, presented at the Athens International Airport Awards 2026, further highlights why Ethiopian Airlines has held the leading position in the African air transport sector for several years, thanks to its performance, the expansion of its intra-African and international network encompassing more than 160 destinations, and its operation of the largest and most modern fleet among its competitors.
Since the beginning of the year, the Star Alliance member has sold more than 2 million seats, registering a 7.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
It’s worth noting that this year, Ethiopian Airlines was named Africa’s Best Airline by Skytrax, in addition to its APEX award.
