Etihad Airways announces a new international route from its base at Abu Dhabi Zayed Airport. This is a direct flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, launched through its joint venture with Ethiopian Airlines, the East African country’s leading airline.
This flight, operated daily by an A320 (176 seats in two travel classes), departs the Emirati airport at 9:00 a.m. and arrives in Addis Ababa at 12:35 p.m. The return flight from Ethiopia is scheduled for 1:55 p.m., landing in Abu Dhabi at 7:15 p.m.
For Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, it’s about “meeting the demands of our international customers who have trusted us for years.”
“Ethiopia ranks among the most popular destinations in Africa every year. With the opening of this route from Abu Dhabi, we are expanding our network to the African continent and offering both natural and cultural experiences, from autumn to spring,” explains the head of the Emirati airline.
