Jazeera Airways to launch direct flight between Kuwait and Addis Ababa

Jazeera Airways is taking to new skies. The Kuwaiti low-cost airline has announced the upcoming launch of a direct flight between Kuwait and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The private airline will operate three flights per week on this route, with the inaugural flight scheduled for September 7. However, no details have yet been confirmed regarding flight schedules or the type of aircraft to be used on this route.

In this regard, Sied Muhumed Jibril, Ethiopia’s ambassador to Kuwait, stated: “We are pleased to welcome Jazeera Airways to Ethiopia, and we are confident that this new route will be beneficial on all levels: commercial, tourism, and cultural. Furthermore, the launch of this direct flight will serve more than 70,000 Ethiopian nationals living in Kuwait by offering them a quick and direct option to return home.”

For his part, Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways, said: “We are delighted to launch this route. Addis Ababa Bole Airport is a true gateway to Ethiopia, as well as the largest hub for connections to the African continent and beyond.”
