Xiamen Airlines will soon launch its very first nonstop route to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, departing from Xiamen.
The Chinese airline will operate this flight once a week, with a departure every Saturday from Xiamen Gaoqi Airport (XMN) at 5:45 p.m., arriving the following day at Addis Ababa Bole Airport (ADD) at 12:15 a.m.
The return flight will depart from Ethiopia at 3:15 p.m. and arrive in Xiamen the following day at 6:00 a.m.
To operate this new route, Xiamen Airlines will use its Boeing 787-8, which has 237 seats arranged in three travel classes: 4 seats in First Class, 18 seats in Business Class, and 215 seats in Economy Class.
Xiamen Airlines’ First Destination in Africa
Addis Ababa will be the first African destination to be added to Xiamen Airlines’ network, while Ethiopian Airlines has a strong presence in the Chinese market, serving a total of five destinations year-round from its ADD hub: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hong Kong.
