Ethiopian Airlines plans to launch a new long-haul route: a direct flight connecting Addis Ababa to Lahore, Pakistan.
This information was confirmed by the Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba, and the Pakistani Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, during an official meeting.
For Ethiopian Airlines, launching a flight to Lahore will strengthen its global reach. A member of Star Alliance, the national carrier serves a network of 115 international destinations.
In Asia, Ethiopian Airlines currently operates scheduled flights to sixteen major destinations, including six in South Asia: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai in India; Karachi in Pakistan; and Manila in the Philippines.
Ethiopian Airlines Increases Flights to South Africa
In order to meet rapidly growing demand on its Addis Ababa – Cape Town route, the national airline has decided to add a daily flight to the South African destination.
