Ethiopian Airlines unveils its new large aircraft order

Ethiopian Airlines continues to consolidate its position as a leader in the air transport sector in Africa by validating a new order with Boeing. This acquisition includes an impressive total of thirty-one state-of-the-art aircraft, strengthening the company’s already substantial fleet.

The order consists of 11 787 Dreamliners, symbols of innovation and exceptional performance, as well as twenty 737 MAX aircraft, representing the latest generation of 737 family aircraft.

Currently, ETH, crowned the best airline in Africa, has the largest fleet of Boeing aircraft on the continent, with eighty aircraft already in operation.

It is also interesting to note that this acquisition from Boeing is in addition to an order previously announced by Ethiopian Airlines for the acquisition of eleven wide-body aircraft from Airbus.

By marking these notable advances, Ethiopian Airlines strengthens its stature as the undisputed protagonist of African aviation. The company masterfully orchestrates insightful strategic choices, navigating with finesse between the composition of its fleet and operational parameters, in order to meet the growing imperatives of the market, while providing an unparalleled flight experience to its passengers.
