Ethiopian Airlines reveals resumption date for flights to Kuwait

It’s official: Ethiopian Airlines has announced its return to Kuwait City. After a four-month suspension of its flights between Addis Ababa and Kuwait City due to the war in the Middle East, the national carrier stated in a press release published Tuesday that the flight will resume on June 16.

This route is served year-round with a frequency of two to three flights per week, depending on the season.

The outbreak of the war between the United States and Iran on February 28 prompted several countries in the Middle East to close their airspace. After several months of suspension, Ethiopian Airlines is beginning to gradually resume flights to several major destinations in the region.

A strong presence for Ethiopian Airlines in the Middle East

Africa’s largest airline serves a significant number of destinations in the Middle East. The Star Alliance airline operates regular flights to eleven destinations in this region including: Amman, Bahrain, Beirut, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh.
